CHAOS;HEAD NOAH - Progress Update #8
Hi, everyone! Sorry for getting this update out so late, the past few days have been pretty crazy. Well, let’s just say that, now that the first quarter of 2021 has already flown by, we’ve all been left feeling a little existential. Why are we alive? Why are we here? Why are you here?
Oh yeah. That’s why.
Anyway, you’ve been waiting long enough to see this report, so we’ll cut all the nonsense and give you the numbers.

So you may be wondering: why does this update have so little written compared to the other ones? Well, the answer is, it doesn’t.
We’ve had a lot of people asking questions about our process and about how long until NOAH releases. Well, short answer: we’re not sure on the amount of time it’ll take, and to explain the reason, we’ve decided to give you a peek into how we do things!
But then that peek ended up way too long to include here, so instead, we wrote it in the form of a blog post. It sets the record straight on some things, so be sure to take a look when you’re in an infodump-y mood. Here’s the link to it.
With that all being said, let’s get back to the fun stuff.
The Fun Stuff™
As for our port, while we don’t have new features to showcase, we are proud to announce that the reimplementation of the Noah engine has been open-sourced and is now available on GitHub! This means that people are able and welcome to help with testing the game.
Please follow the steps in the README file to get the port running. You will need an Xbox 360 copy of CHAOS;HEAD NOAH, as well as a means of dumping the assets. In order to report an issue with the port, head over to the Issues page on GitHub and click on New Issue. In the provided form, please explain the problem in as much detail as possible.
(Keep in mind: our translation is not available to be used with the port yet by virtue of being incomplete. You will only be able to test Noah with the Japanese script.)
That’s all for this month, folks. Thanks for keeping up with us. We’ll be more merciful on the word count of the next progress update (probably). See ya next mon—
Hm? What’s that? A delusion, straight from the Committee of Zero’s headquarters? What could it be…?
